Hang Time
The amount of time grape clusters are on the vine, prior to picking.
Heat Summation Rating
Rating determined by totaling the number of degrees that the temperature exceeds 50° F each day during the growing season. If today’s average temperature is 70° F, this day would add 20 heat-summation units or degree days to the growing season (70 - 50 = 20).
Heat Summation Region
Five regions for grape growing. Region I is the coldest with 2,500 or fewer degree days, V is the warmest with 4,001+ degree days.
Hue
A particular variety of a color; shade; tint.
